 As you heard will hear on episode 199 of RBR: Weekly Wrestling Talk later this week, Friday was my birthday. May 15th to be exact, and while I never said “22 is when I’ll improve,” I do hope that I can make some strides as a writer, entertainer, gamer, podcaster, and love machine. Thanks to the power of the internets, I can continue a ritual I started about a decade ago: discovering trivial facets regarding May 15th. Wouldn’t you like to know if your birth date carried some worldwide merit? I certainly would, if not because it’d provide me with useless trivia at parties when everybody is half drunk. I used to scour through various websites and other resources to discover anything regarding my birthday right around that time. Now that Wikipedia has solved that conundrum, everybody can find out when Wayman Tisdale died! History can be fun in doses—at least it is for me—but there’s something a bit smirk worthy when something of consequence or influence occurs on your day. We just passed the halfway point of 2008, and you know what that means: Best-of-the-Year-So-Far Lists! I love these; we remind ourselves what we liked and hated up to this point before they, sadly, become irrelevant come Christmas time. This is especially true in the video game industry. While the cutoff point in the gaming industry is B.M. and A.M. (“Before Madden” and “After Madden”,) I think we can take a hard look at what the industry offered us over the first 180 or so days of 2008 thus far. Therefore, I’ve created an award show honoring the best and worst that my console of choice (the XBOX 360) has offered me so far this year. --Read More--

 Looking at the comments of my previous entry, I am happy to see that many of you have taken an interest in my musical tastes, or were simply intrigued enough to voice some form of view. Riding the high that came with writing my previous article (and needing to do something to distract my latest addiction to “Cherry Blossom Girl”), I realized over that time period that while music may be my biggest passion at the moment, it cannot hold a candle to my biggest passion of all time... Since the Podcasts have become a major staple to TGO, I must admit that I have been keeping my articles on the site to a rather sparse level: While major news stories such as the triumph and fall of London in a 24 hour span have appeared, I have always preferred to stay as far away from the political realm as much as possible.
