Like the great philosopher known as the Joker once said: "And here...we...go."
For most of the country, the Summer began in the third week of June; for me, July 1st is when Summer officially begins, because that's when Free Agency begins and franchises
truly start to build their teams for the next few seasons.
Many of you* may wonder why I haven't made any predictions about what I think will happen. First off, who
hasn't done that, and it is rather moot since (secondly) the status of who's staying is in a constant state of flux: If I had posted an article two days ago, I'd be editing it now to account for Paul Pierce and Dirk Nowitzki.
Therefore, I'm keeping up a tradition that actually dates back to
my first blog post with this site: Instant transaction analysis.
Whenever I hear about a move, I will comment on it in this blog, editing it as often as I can.
In case I'm not at my computer to post my thoughts, or you want something that can be more immediate and truncated...and make me feel wanted...
you can follow me on Twitter.Players cannot officially sign with teams until July 8th, and what we'll likely hear about until then are which players are re-signing with current teams. However, 9/10 unrestricted free agents make it very clear which team he will sign with by the official signing date. Thus, when reports confirm a signing save for the John Hancock, I'll write about it.
Let the chaos begin.
* None of you *
Until next time...
** Godspeed **
