Ros would be a ok choice but i think hes past it now. Hes over 30 after all and i think, from what i seen, his legs are gone.

What you guys think of Silva and Ibrma...Imbra...Swedish Andy Carroll goin to PSG for a rwported 49 mill, that number cant be right can it?

I don't know if it is right or not, but I have NO doubt that PSG might be putting out such numbers. In case you haven't heard: See, they got Man City'ed. Yup, another rich arabic tycoon motherfucker (This time, he is from Qatar). He is the director of Al Jazeera sports (Which I was complaining about in the previous post) which is the lead sports channel here (No EPL). In 2 years PSG would be CL winners.

Which Silva do you mean though? Thiago or David? The former according to his Wikipedia page has re-signed with Milan.

From what i heard it was Thiego, altho i think the reports are bullshit!. I remember hearing that PSG made a 45 mill bid for T Silva a few weeks ago and it was rejected so i cant understand how its been reported the two went for 49 mill? As much as i hate Imbram i think he's worth more than 4mill.

Other news. Utd close in on Baines and Moura reportedly( not confirmed)
Tevez to Milan to replace the (reportedly) sold imbram
Borini in for Liverpool, Maxi out

Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic to PSG is looking like a done deal, i hope Milan use the money to buy RVP from us but it's looking more likely they'll attempt a move for either Tevez or Dzecko.

Rosicky isn't a guaranteed starter for the first team, bu i have to say his legs are far from gone. If anything he's just had his best season ever in an Arsenal shirt. Injury has always been a problem for him though, and it looks like he's been caught with it again at the Euro's [face_sad]

Maxi was a popular figure at Anfield, but it appears his boyhood club in Argentina came in for him and the pull was too much to resist. I worry for Liverpool, especially after losing both Maxi and Kuyt. Who do they have left that can play out wide? Downing? god help them.

You are about ready to see RVP leave aren't you?

Why is Tevez leaving ? I don't fucking get it ... he is the forever a sold" for adeybayors "forever a loan" (pun intended).

LOL ... so Caroll is really getting loaned out? Are they that damn set on getting relegated? Liverpool are such a joke at this point I wouldn't be shocked if they don't win a Premier league in the next 10-15 years.

LOL ... When big names leave Arsenal they usually go to bigger and better teams ... But Liverpool? Unless Walcott wants to satisfy his childhood dream (even if it meant never winning a cup that matters) then there is no way he is leaving Arsenal for Liverpool.

Yup ... apparently Arsenal are planning to hold on to RVP until next year. They are risking 30 million which is a stupid decision ... but it's a risk worth taking.

Arsene Wenger has always been a cheap douchebag when it came to spending money, and thats why I am fine with this plan. Especially that they are screwing RVP from a year of his life and at his age that's pretty huge. I can only hope we can at least win the mouse cup ... the boys deserve a bone thrown their way after 7 years.

Great to see Dempsey succeeding, tho I think 5 mil is alittle low. I'd say about $10 to $12 mil or at a minimum of $8 mil. The only reason for that is the powers that be still don't respect our football craft, but thats for another day. Altidore transferred for $10 mil, and hes now coming into his own. He scored 23 goals in all competitions, hes easily top 10, top 5 for goal scorers in the EPL, top 5 in the Midfield. Can't say for overall, because how do you compare him to a defender etc.

Great for "Deuce" tho, always been a huge fan.

That's a little harsh don't you think? When the right player is available he's more than happy to spend the money. This summer alone (assuming Cazorla joins us for the 23 million Euros quoted in the papers) he will have spent nearly £50 million on three international class players. Arshavin cost £17 million, Walcott was a reported £13 including clauses, The ox was over £10 million after clauses. Vermaelen was £10 million.

Just because Man City and Chelsea have over inflated the transfer market, making everyone think that a good player should be worth £20 million at the least doesn't mean that buying players for around the £10 million mark is a sign of being cheap. It's just good business.

Douchebag Dave ... let me let you on a little secret:

When Arsenal was on top "2000-2005" I wasn't a fan of the club ... I was 5 or 6 years old at the time and I wasn't "born" into football. I only became a fan in 2006 and I only cated around 2008/2009 ... I never got to live an "Arsenal moment".

So if Wenger has to spend another 100 million to get the world's best players so I can live that moment ... then be it.

Note: What do you think of the whole m'vila situation? Wenger admitted he ian't interested but sources say Arsenal may be in for the kill for the right price. Also, from FIFA manager experience, he is a good player.

Also ... the Van Persie Mania continues ... Juvy don't want to pay THAT much, Maccinni doesn't want to spend money (nevet thought i would live to hear that) and Man Utd. Look like the front runners.

----------------

On a completely unrelated to real life note .... share your FIFA/Football manager experiences:

FIFA Manager 12: Mario Gotze, Pato, Toni Kroos, Marc-Andre ter Stegan are all players that you must grab. Pato scored 43 goals in the very first season though he costed 60 million pounds. Gotze grows up like a beast in the first 3 seasons hs is 91 RW and is only 24 years old. Oh and Inesta gets to mid 90's around the age of 29/30.

This is exactly my point though, you should go back and look at what happened to Leeds in the early 2000's or what's going on with Rangers now. You don't spend money you don't have/can't afford to sustain to chase success. It's short sighted and irresponsible. I guess i'd rather have a club to follow in 10 years than win a couple of things and then get liquidated.

M'vilia is a troublemaker, best leave well alone.

I guess you are right, I would rather have the case of "Spain's national team" over "England's national team". A built up team is better than a number of hotshots :P

Anyway, happened to walk by the TV last night and I read this on the news scroller: "Nuri Sahin rumored to be going to Arsenal on a loan" It seems Arsenal does have a good relation with Real Madrid (Júlio Baptista (YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH *Matt Galloway orgasms*) for Reyes in 2006) but it also feels like he didn't do a good job at madrid and was a big fail. Thoughts?

Also: Ledley King (Tottenham Defender) admits he has had an ankle injury since the very beginning of his career (He got injured 30 seconds into his debut) and has played with it ever since. Sad news to hear someone has such a case even if he is a Spurs player.

---------------

RVP wants a Rooney-like paycheck (£220000 a week, a total of £11440000 a year) if he wants to wear the Red Devils Picnic blanket. Apparently it's money over silverware for him.

Ok ive had it with this RVP talk!! one good season outta 7!! fuck off! Am i the only Utd fan who dosent want him?? Id rather have Lucas and 2 defenders than one poxy injury ridden striker who had turned out like the rest of them, in it only for the money! Id rather have Heskey in my team than another person who dosent care about the club and only whos signing the pay checks!!

RVP is pretty overrated he has had one good season and been injured on and off for the last 7. I'm happy with Chelsea's signings so far I think we now have a solid midfield with Marin, Ramires, Lampard, Mata and Hazard hopefully we can bring in a right back and a striker to cover Torres.

I can't really take what you say seriously when you are a Chelsea fan calling RVP overrated with Fernando Torres as part of the club you support ... your "RVP is overrated" argument is kinda stupid in that sense.

Also, whoever changed the threads name to "soccer thread" change it to football thread before I snap. Handegg existed a hundred years after the good ol' footy. Besides, only one country in the world watches wrestling with a handegg and thats the US .... a barca vs madrid match is watched by more people than the US population :).

Yeah I think the RVP Torres comparison ends with them being footballers. As much as i think everyone is kinda over rating RVP i still think he's 100times better that Torres.

As for Chelskis signings, Hazzard sould be a great player in England, if you ask him he'll tell ya as much, I dont know much about the other guys to be honest. But after the drama that surrounded Hazzard coming to England and choosing Chelski over Utd, your welcome to him.

And I guess it was one of the RBR guys who changed the topic, there just trolling. Handegg is Football for them, god love them they wouldnt know a real sport if it hit them in the ass. Love the fact that more people watch El Classico than there are Americans [face_laugh]

RVP got the EPL golden shoe, Torres got the European golden shoe. Two completely unexpected incidents considering the season that preceded these events. With that said, scoring 30 goals in 37 matches in the league is much better than scoring 3 goals as a sub-in through out 7 matches. Not to say RVP was any good in the Euro's ...

Hazard's signing did have a lot of controversy ... didn't ALL the big English clubs wanted to sign him and not only Man Utd. or Chelsea? I heard good things about him so Chelsea must be lovin' it.

And lets face it ... Americans call them sports ... yet they don't even have a legitimate sport's body in the government. NFL is shockingly a company representing a sports league rather than being an ACTUAL sports league that has world wide recognition ... wait, skip that last part ... only Americans watch handegg.

El Gunners: Wenger's Spanish spree will land Cazorla and Sahin in next 48 hours

Good thing to hear Wenger is using them "Millions & Billions of dolla's *Or pounds in this case*". With Wilshere apparently not returning until October, this is a good addition for the club.

Sahin? Apparently I was thinking of "Sami Khedira" in all my past talks. And yes ... they all look the same to me ... Real Madrid players. Anyway, this will be an interesting deal for Arsenal, hopefully if he does a good job we can pick him permanently next season.

The "Race for Robin" news of the week:

- Juvy seems to be in a bit of a trouble with the whole "Match fixing" thing although one FIFA agent says RVP has signed with Juvy already.

- City are turning their head into Real Madrid's & Argentina Star Gonzalo Higuaín since he seems to be and younger than RVP and more willing to move since has been put in the back burner for one Karim Benzema ... And the deal costs pretty much the same.

- Utd. apparently are facing a dead-end with Robin's demands to be paid as much as Wayne Rooney is being paid; a minimum of £200,000-a-week (10.4 Million pounds a year)

Overall, it seems the RVP deal might be hitting a dead end since apparently non of the bidders have made a deal that is even within the range of the Arsenal demands. Personally? I say sell Robin ... I don't want Wenger to start spending money that he doesn't have and eventually settle for something way lower than the expected when selling Robin.

:)

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

The "English League" Cup (Or mouse cup) is being rebranded as the "Capital One" Cup ....

Are you fucking kidding me? I get that "English League" wasn't the best name but "Capital One" is one of the shitest names I have ever heard.

Sponsorship. It hasn't been the league cup for years. It was called the Carling cup last season.

The reason it's known as the league cup is because only teams in the professional leagues can participate, unlike the FA cup where every club under FA jurisdiction can enter.

Yea, my bad. I don't really care about that cup since we have only won it twice and Arsene Wenger made it seem like the least important trophy in the world ... oh, and because we lost to Birmingham city in the final ... /facepalm.

LOL

So the RVP saga is apparently taking a U-Turn.

http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-l ... r-timeline

*Sigh*

A fucking drama queen. He "overrated" himself to the point of demanding a mind-boggling wage and Arsenal wanted to make some money out of him, and now no club is willing to pay both him and Arsenal what they are each asking for (£200,000 a-week for RVP, £20+ million for Arsenal).

Good to see he had to learn the hard way, maybe now assholes might reconsider twice before wanting to leave Arsenal in the future.

------------------------------------------

On other news, Cazorla is now a gunner! To my favorite part of any news signing: The shirt number speculation game! Caz (Or Kaz for you wrestling fans) wore the number "12" for Malaga and the number "20" for Spain.

In Arsenal, every number between 1 and 31 (With the exception of 13 and 30) is occupied. Keep in mind; Podolski and Landbury don't have a number yet. I can see them give "13" for Caz.

TL;DR (At least not all of it)

Seems A. Song is really heading to Barca (Arsenal is officially Barca's training facility in a Pro. league) in favor of one Cristian Tello.

RVP to Utd. - According the Manchester Evening News

This fucking saga ... JUST END ALREADY!
