Should I see The Avengers if the only movie I've seen is Iron Man 1 and didn't really like it?

Wow, I didn't think it was possible for anyone to not like Iron Man. Even my little sister liked it and she hates everything I even remotely enjoy.

Not a big fan myself. I think it was good, but cheesy in a lot of ways. Granted; Robert Dawny Jr. played a drunken, playboy billionaire perfectly.

I am going to watch the Avengers tho, but I am sitting in the same boat as BC; I only watched Iron Man 1. I will go through the rest of the line up (Captain America, Iron Man 2, Thor, The Incredible Hulk) as soon as I finish my exams, then get the Avengers DVD when its out.

wow thats crazy, even my gf liked it and she has no time for comic book films(btw she loved the avengers tho) But yeah go see it its a great film, like all the comic book films, The story in them all is just amazing and leads up to the Avengers perfectly. If youve got a few hours to kill get them all. Its well worth it

I just got back from The Avengers and I can not see how anyone could not love that movie. It watched it in IMAX 3D at it was, hands down, the best movie experience I've ever had. I started tearing up the last half of the movie because my eyes were overloaded with Awesomeness. If I wasn't so hungry and didn't have starving pets at home I would have gladly paid another $15 to watch it again.

Of course I'm a comic nerd and I love movies where unlikely teams band together so I may be a bit bias.

Just remembered why I didn't like Iron Man. Note that I saw this when it first came out on DVD so I can't argue.

1. I didn't really sympathize with Tony Stark the character.

2. I never got sense that there was any danger when some guy in a suit can fire missiles everywhere.

Isn't that the problem with all superheroes with super powers/tech? It's certainly the problem with Superman. Iron Man has the same charm as Spider-Man, and the drama is more about relationships and personal demons, which is why they're endearing characters.

Yeah I saw it a midnight also. That movie surpassed all the hype for me. Marvel made a great decision replacing Ed Norton for Mark Ruffalo. This movie also the best line up of trailers too. The new spiderman looks pretty fucking good and of course Batman.

Saw Avengers earlier this week. I hate to use wrestling insider terms for other things but I full on marked out for Hulk. Brilliant depiction of him. Ruffalo was perfect, and Ed Norton's one of my favourite actors.

I saw The Avengers yesterday with my gf and today with my roommate. Loved it. It hit on every note it needed to. Every character got to shine, which is hard to do with all the big guns in this movie. And it was the perfect payoff to the build up to it. Joss Whedon proves why he deserves more love than he gets. In anyone else's hands, this would not have worked.

10/10. Dark Knight Rises, you are officially on notice.

I 100% believe The Dark Knight Rises will not measure up to the Avengers. 100%, even if The Dark Knight Rises is more than just a comic-book movie.
