It's funny how many generational stars can be hit or miss when it comes to their heritage. They tried using the Rock's heritage to get him over and it bombed, same deal with a lot of the recent stars like McGillicutty, DiBiase, and Harris.

Guys like Orton and Rhodes seem to be some of the few that got over with it.

Seems like Dolph Ziggler is about to embark on his own or so it appears from watching RAW. Whether Ziggler reminds one of Billy Gunn, Curt 'Mr Perfect' Hennig or anyone else from the days of yesteryear, the former college wrestler is main event bound in my view. @HEELZiggler can be a big time player and I would only encourage him to take the ball away from someone and run with it until someone forces him to change course. I would like to think he hired former PWA graphic designer Paul Griffin to do his video graphics because it makes it that much funnier.
With the quality I'm pretty sure he just did this himself in Windows movie maker.

Anyone catch Chikara's iPPV this past weekend? Really great show, the antithesis of a throwaway B show. A bunch of really exciting storyline conclusions and stipulation matches. Crowd was SUPER into everything and the action was great.

1: This isn't the only smash style game ever made. Familiar with the Omnimusha fighter? The TMNT one? Not too mention, you have to consider that not everyone owns (or should I say own anymore) a Wii and would gladly take a knock-off if it is a well done one. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing as well as Crash Team Racing were both blatant Mario kart rip-offs, but because they were done so well, they both have solid fanbases. Look at the King of Fighters games, which blatantly takes the model of Street Fighter. But they did their thing well and in some areas, is actually more popular than SF is.

2: I think the biggest problem with the game is it doesn't rip off the game enough. Sony has been listening to fans and will indeed have a stock mode as well as time, but we will have to see how the super system works. However with trusted members of the Fighting Game Community working on it such as Ed Ma and Daniel Maniago (AKA MVC champion BT|Clockw0rk), they should have a good idea of how to work on a quality fighting game.

3: This is Sony glorifying Sony franchises. I am happy to see Sony acknowledge that Parappa the Rapper even exists still. Plus with confirmed inclusion of multiple third party franchises, the potential character listing could be outstanding.

Now, the game isn't playable yet and we still only have 6-8 characters confirmed, but I say don't judge a game until it you play it.
