Free Comic Book Day

So......what did everybody get?

I got The Tick first issue (Which is really great), the Green Hornet previews (There is a great line in there about cocking your gun which cracked me up), and a Classic Comic Strip collection (Alright, but don't tease Dick Tracy and Bloom County on the cover if they don't have actual strips to read in there).

Picked Up "Mouse Guard", "Atomic Robo" (which I guess should be called the Red 5 Sampler), and "The Grim Hunt" preview for ASM. Got a few little knick-knacks too (I like my new Batman and Flash buttons).

I was at Alter Ego for this, so I got signed copies of "Firestorm" and "Mary Jane: Homecoming" by Sean McKeever and a signed variant of "Black Widdow" by Marjorie Liu. All in all, I think this was a good one. [face_nerd] And by the way, interesting fact, these issues are my first ever signed comics, so to me, it's even cooler.

I heard from Austin that the Oni Press Sampler had a good story in it. Anyone willing to confirm that? I was wanting to pick it up, but I already had three books I wanted to read in my hand and couldn't feel like I could drop them for the Oni Press book. DAMN YOU THREE BOOK LIMIT!!! [face_pullhair]

The best book out on FCBD was "The Sixth Gun," without a doubt. Not only was it an interesting story, setting up the "Sixth Gun" series that debuts on July 14, but it was a full issue, or at least felt like it was. If you can't read the FCBD "Sixth Gun" issue, then get your hands on the issue that comes out in July.
