So...the year is coming to a close. What are the movies that you most enjoyed that came out this year?

For me, it's a toss up between "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World", "Inception", and "The Social Network". All three I loved for completely different reasons, but they all hit me in a way that other films this year did not. Also, strangely, they're all rated PG-13.

How's about youse guys?

I'm with you 100% on Social Network and Scott Pilgrim. Both great for different reasons. Kick-A$$ was a lot of fun to watch in theaters as well, and How to Train Your Dragon is probably the best Dreamworks CG animated movie so far.

There still is Tron: Legacy & I Love You Phillip Morris to come out this year though, and both movies interest me.

I enjoyed Inception a lot, but it'd be difficult for anything to top Kick-Ass this year for me. That's unless i've forgotten a really obvious one...

I saw "Phillip Morris" awhile back - I enjoyed it. It's not the best movie in the world or anything, but it's solid. While it did have some fairly graphic stuff in it, the controversy surrounding it was totally blown out of proportion. It's worth watching though.

Right now, my vote goes between Toy Story 3 and Iron Man 2, with Inception and the A-Team battling for the 3rd and 4th spot.

Comedy: Toy Story 3
Drama: Legendary

Toy Story 3 wins overall, and seeing 1+2 re-released in 3D beforehand makes it even better.

That's a tough one. I honestly think this year was 10x better than last for movies. I'd have to say either Toy Story 3 or Inception. Can't really choose.

wow i've counted so far and i've only seen 9 movies in theater this year. So out of that long list of movies i would have to say that toy story 3 was the best thing i saw all year

The Social Network, Toy Story 3 and The Fighter are my 3 Best movies.

Shout-outs
-Hot Tub Time Machine: most likely the Funniest movie this year.
-Iron Man 2: not as good as the first but still a blast.
-Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: Never reading the Comics I enjoyed the movie.
-Summer Wars: One of the best Anime Movies I have ever seen.
-Inception: While I had trouble with this movie I really enjoyed It.

Toy Story 3, Inception & Scott Pilgrim are the best movies I've seen this year. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and The Social Network are in my top 10. The Expendables and Pihrana 3-D were fun to watch.

True Grit made its way into my list at the last minute.

Tron Legacy had sweet effects and great fight scenes. Plus Jeff Bridges and Daft Punk totally made me like it even more.

Inception had a great story and really good acting

Scott Pilgrim Vs the World because of how awesome the special effects were, and it made me want to read the graphic novels

Add The American to my list. George Clooney is on my list of the best actors in Hollywood, along with Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio.

This year it would have to be The King's Speech such a fantastic movie and great performances from everyone in the movie. From 2010 I'm going with The Social Network one of my favorite movies after seeing it, just great from beginning to end.
