Anyone getting it?

I am. I am a sucker for most Rockstar games.

I think i'll probably pick it up, although i doubt i'll be getting any of the DLC that's already been announced. I hate the idea of DLC already existing for a game that isn't even out yet. I accept that it's probably a common practice for many games but i would prefer that they at least act like it doesn't exist until after the official launch.

I loved both of the original games way back when but for some reason I can't find myself to care even the slightest about the new one. I have no idea why that is.

There's rumblings that there might be issues with the gunfight gameplay, but unless the general consensus is that it's pure shit when it comes out, I'm sure I'll end up getting it. I end up getting pretty much every major game that Rockstar puts out (outside of Midnight Club). What I've read in theory about the changes in gameplay makes me excited about it, and I have faith in the in-house Rockstar team, so I'm not too worried. People were pissing and moaning about the game being set in São Paulo instead of New York City because São Paulo isn't "noir" enough, but (and we talked about it at some point on the show) São Paulo has the same grittiness and diversity of setting as New York, so that doesn't worry me.

I will be. I wasn't really a fan of Max Payne 2 but this looks like it could be interesting. I'm pretty much gonna but it mainly cause it's Rockstar and I'll fall like a domino for anything they put out.

I think I kinda have to get it, for it was one of my favorite franchises, and this long awaited entry is dropping on my birthday.

ill try to give leadership to one of the egp hosts if it lets me (whenever they join or not), otherwise i don't think it makes much of a difference.

Nope, just checked.. and for your request the only option i have is invite. ahhh

Ok, i think i figured out the correct way to invite, if you check your notifications on rockstar 1 of them should have an accept button.

no matter what you are gonna play it for make sure you and doc join the crew. it shouldnt matter what you play if for to keep crew stats and stuff. not 100% sure though

It's flawed but I really enjoyed it. The gameplay is the to point, and I like how it doesn't attach any unneeded gameplay mechanics. There are no tenuous stealth or driving missions - it's an old school run and gun game, and I miss things like that. The Euphoria physics engine is in all its glory here, and with the slomotion kill cams and blood spurts, it's really satisfying. The story is great, and delivers a good Max Payne experience but not the same old thing for the third time. I'd also venture to say the soundtrack is among the best I've ever heard in a game - a recommended download on iTunes for sure.

Anyone else find the difficulty a bit frustrating though? I think using the "soft lock" in single player makes it too easy, and I hate aim assists in games that lead you by the hand, but the "free aim" setting makes it incredibly frustrating. I died a lot, even on the medium difficulty setting.

I have it on soft aim, cause i'm a pussy and actually needed to get through it in good time. I'm going to play through it again with free aim to see how it changes the experience though.

i am on soft aim as well, and i am on normal mode.. and i still get fucked every once in a while..maybe my aim just is so awful.

I will replay with game without aim help, but fuck it will be brutal for me.
